We’re so honored to have Rep. Ramirez deliver the WFP Response this year. The new Congresswoman from Illinois’s 3rd Congressional District and the first Latina elected to Congress from the Midwest, Rep. Ramirez will share what we’re fighting for this year, and what our priorities will be once we take back the House. Her speech will be streamed LIVE on our virtual watch party and on WFP’s social media channels in both English and Spanish. ASL interpretation will also be provided.
During the watch party, we’ll also be joined by special guests Kendra Brooks, whose Working Families Party win in 2019 made her Philly’s first third-party City Councilmember, and Nicolas O’Rourke, PAWFP’s Organizing Director and candidate for Philadelphia City Council. We’re excited to support both Kendra and Nicolas, who are running on the Working Families Party ballot line, and if they win, will defeat all Republicans on the Philadelphia City Council.
