Democrats are in a narrow minority in the House of Representatives — but I know that come next election, we can and WILL flip the House back in our favor.

And it all starts in New York. Here’s why I’m confident that we can win back the House by winning big in New York:

• Cook Political Report named FIVE Republican-held districts in New York as toss-ups or lean Democratic — including George Santos', who is so unpopular that in a recent poll, 78% of respondents across the political spectrum said that he should resign.


• Democrats can win in tough races if they have the right message. Our campaign last year focused on delivering results and defending our democracy — messages that resonated with voters. With my friend and fellow New Yorker Rep. Hakeem Jeffries leading the Democratic caucus, I know we will have a strong message to run on in 2024.


• Meanwhile, House Republicans continue to stake out unpopular positions on issues like Social Security, gun safety legislation, and taxes. Democrats, on the other hand, are introducing substantive policies to ease the economic burdens on working families and protect our democracy. If we uplift how fundamentally *wrong* Republicans' stances are, while highlighting our productive, meaningful legislation, voters will listen and vote out the GOP.


• We are going to start early in our efforts to reach Democratic voters across New York. After two whirlwind elections last year, my team and I now have the time to build a sustainable program to connect with voters in our district and help Dems in other parts of the state.

Flipping these competitive seats in New York isn’t going to be easy (or cheap!), but I’m confident that with us all working together, we’re going to win big next year and flip the House. That’s why I’m asking:
