John,

Colorado made remarkable progress in the 2022 Midterm election. Gov. Jared Polis won reelection by a massive margin; Democrat Yadira Caraveo won the newly-created tossup congressional seat in CO-08; and Democrats held all statewide offices.

Importantly, the people of CO-03 clearly signaled that they were ready to move on from the destructive clown show that is Lauren Boebert. While the final count gave her a narrow, 500-vote victory, her severe underperformance came after redistricting made her seat MORE favorable to the GOP, and took place during the first Midterm election of an incumbent Democratic president in a time of seemingly runaway inflation. Her "victory" is nothing for the Republican Party to be proud of.

But in 2024, we have more opportunities to target unfit MAGA Republicans in Colorado than just Boebert.

Take Rep. Doug Lamborn, in CO-05. He recently settled a lawsuit with a former staffer who made credible allegations that the Congressman improperly forced staff to do personal errands for him and his wife; that he willingly risked the health and safety of employees at the outset of the pandemic; and that he allowed his son to live rent-free in the basement of the Capitol.
We don't need much more proof to show that Colorado is trending to the left, and in a pragmatic, anti-authoritarian, and liberal direction. If redistricting did Lauren Boebert no favors, then the same can be true for Doug Lamborn.

We have our work cut out for us, and it is time to target these seats and talk to voters about kicking these two MAGA Republicans to the curb.
