Welcoming the Forestry Minister to EGGER



It was fantastic to welcome Trudy Harrison to EGGER to discuss the challenges and opportunities ahead for the wood panel industry.

EGGER are Northumberland's largest manufacturing company, and their base, right here in the heart of Hexham, serves not only the local economy, but supplies world-class products to offices and homes all around the UK.

I’m delighted that the Minister for Forestry and Land Use had the opportunity to see first-hand the innovation, excellence, and hard work going in at the highest private sector employer across Tynedale and Ponteland.

Visiting our rural schools - Slaley and Kielder

I have recently visited two of our rural schools, Slaley First School and Kielder Primary & Nursery School.

It was great to catch up with the headteachers and to speak with some of the pupils at both schools about my role as an MP, British values and answer any questions they had.
