This month marks the ten-year anniversary of the Citizens United Supreme Court case. Put simply, the Court’s decision changed our campaign finance laws to take power away from people and put it in the hands of corporations.

This marked a dark turning point in our democracy. Since 2010, we’ve seen an enormous rise in corporate influence over our politics. It’s time to put an end to that.

That’s why I’ve signed on to the nationwide petition calling for a constitutional amendment to end Citizens United, and I’m asking you to join me and add your name to this all-important cause:

I believe that representatives should be accountable to the people and communities they serve, not to corporations. That’s why I personally made the decision not to take any corporate PAC money in this election. 

In Washington, I will work for the people of CA-08 and Americans across this country. Working families deserve a fair shake. We need to lower unnecessary health care and pharmaceutical costs. I don’t need a corporation to tell me how to do that.
