Proclaim biblical truth with FRC.

Dear John,

These are challenging days for Bible-believing Americans. The message from the Left and the Biden administration is clear: embrace a biblical worldview on marriage, sexuality, and human life in the womb... and you will suffer the consequences.

A clear example of this was the signing into law of the so-called Respect for Marriage Act (RMA) on December 13, 2022. The Left's forces of religious hostility, aided by 12 Republicans in the Senate and 39 in Congress, advanced what may ultimately be recorded as one of the greatest assaults on religious freedom in modern history.

The law essentially equates a belief in natural marriage with discrimination. It creates a private right of action that can be used by LGBT activists to target and harass Christian business owners who have a conscientious objection to participating in same-sex ceremonies and threatens the tax-exempt status of religious adoption agencies and other nonprofits that decline to affirm same-sex marriage.

RMA creates an environment of hostility toward Bible-believing Christians. In essence, the government has declared open season on anyone who believes in marriage as it's always been, the union of a man and woman.

At Family Research Council, we understand that neither the White House, the U.S. Supreme Court, nor Congress can alter the eternal truth of God's Word. And thanks to the grace of God and supporters like you, FRC has stood faithfully for four decades for biblical truth, no matter the cost, and we will continue to stand.

Will you consider partnering with us today? Your gift will help FRC proclaim the truth of God's Word and defend the freedom of all Americans to live out their faith in the public square.

PARTNER WITH FRC

With the so-called Respect for Marriage Act supercharging the Left's ongoing assault on religious liberty, more Americans may have to choose between their religious convictions or livelihoods in the days ahead.

Just ask the young Georgia policeman who's out of a job over his beliefs.

Less than a month after President Joe Biden signed his name to the law upending marriage in all 50 states, Jacob Kersey, a 19-year-old rookie of the Port Wentworth Police Department, was told by his supervisors that his views on marriage were too "offensive." On January 2, Jacob wrote a Facebook post on his personal account stating: "God designed marriage... Marriage refers to Christ and the church," he explained in reference to Ephesians 5. "That's why there is no such thing as homosexual marriage."

The next day, Jacob's supervisor called to tell him that someone had complained about the message.

Take it down, he was told. Jacob refused. For that, he was hauled into a meeting with three superiors and ordered to "turn in everything he had that belonged to the city." While people are entitled to their own views, one supervisor said, talking about natural marriage is the same as using a racial slur. It's like "saying the N-word or 'F--- all those homosexuals,'" the chief insisted.

After a week of administrative leave, Jacob was given a choice: keep your opinions off social media or turn in your badge. If he wanted to post Scripture, fine. But if he shared anything else that offended someone, he could be fired.

Does this sound like "tolerance?"

A few sleepless nights later, Jacob resigned. "I didn't believe that my department had my back, and I didn't really want to go back and play that game and just wait to be fired, because I know it would happen at some point," he told Washington Watch.

As Jacob said, "We really, really have to understand that this isn't all just a big political game. This is a spiritual battle that's going on right now. ... Christ is King--and if we're believers and we really believe that, then we should be fighting for His comprehensive rule overall, especially in our hearts, and we should stand for Him and His Word."

Will you join with us as we stand with Jacob? Will you join us in praying for Jacob personally and that God will use his story to encourage more Bible-believing Americans to stand for the truth of God's Word?

We want to make sure that NO Christian will have to check their faith at the door in order to serve their community.

Today, the consequences are exactly what we warned: the Left and those trying to curry favor with the intolerant mob are now empowered with the force of government to crush anyone who lives out their biblical faith.

FRC is on the frontlines of these battles, exposing the lies and agenda of the Left that seek to undermine faith, family, and freedom. We will continue using our media outlets like Washington Watch and The Washington Stand to spotlight stories of Christians like Jacob, who have come under fire for their faith.

As Bible believers, there is often a cost to following Jesus Christ and obeying God's Word, but that very Word gives us the stability and hope to stand without fear.

The world may try to intimidate and silence biblical truth, but our lives are built firmly on what Jesus described as the "solid rock" (Matthew 7:24).

FRC stands with you--committed to biblical truth--so you don't have to stand alone.

This year, as we celebrate our 40th anniversary, we are filled with gratitude for your prayers and partnership that enable us to continue protecting faith, family, and freedom in the public square for future generations. Thank you for partnering with us!
