John, last week, BP announced billions of pounds in profit, made from dirty fossil fuels. Our government did nothing. Meanwhile, the UK is way off track in meeting the climate targets it set itself. And yet they do nothing.
It’s time to make them listen.
This Sunday, there is an open call where you can hear more about the plan for The Big One - a huge climate protest in April, which will involve 100,000 people gathering peacefully outside the Houses of Parliament.
You can register for the call here - it only takes a minute.
What: A zoom call to learn more about The Big One including:
- big and exciting news from the 100 Days Campaign
- information about building alliances with groups outside of XR
- an opportunity to ask questions
When: Sunday 12 February, 19:00-20:00
|
Research shows that non-violent direct action works. That’s why, starting on April 21st, there will be a huge, organised, peaceful protest at the Houses of Parliament. But unlike other protests, we’ll come back day after day, making it impossible for politicians to continue to ignore the climate emergency.
Lots of you probably have questions about the plan for The Big One, why it will work, and whether it’s right for you.
You are invited to join the call this Sunday, to hear more about how it will work and the steps being taking to make sure it’s open and inclusive to people from all walks of life.
Hope to see you there!
Love and rage, Extinction Rebellion UK
P.S. Can’t make the call on Sunday? Use the link to register anyway and you'll be sent a follow up email, including a recording so you can watch the call back whenever you have time.
