I don’t like coming to you with bad news. But unfortunately, new details about the attack ads I flagged for you earlier in the week have recently emerged, and the numbers do not look good for us:
One of the most powerful special interest groups in DC -- “American Action Network" -- announced they will spend a combined $2.5 million on a negative ad campaign that will be running in our district.
Please, I need to quickly dispel the outrageous rumors they are spreading in their latest attack. It will only take a moment.
I have fought hard to help pass strong bipartisan measures like the USCMA trade deal and SPOONSS, which will greatly benefit farmers and working families of Upstate New York. Every day, I’m holding massive corporations like Spectrum Cable and Big Pharma accountable for putting their own profits over the needs of the people. And from the moment I stepped into Congress, I’ve been securing support for veterans and service families.
While it might be news to the DC insiders who have a one-track mind on advancing their own agenda, it is possible to walk and chew gum at the same time.
Together, we are proving that real solutions can be made for real kitchen table issues when we put truth to power, but to keep up this important work, I need you to stand with me when dark money groups pull multi-million dollar political stunts like this.
So, can you chip in to our 2020 Rapid Response Fund to push back on these special interest groups? I’m not accepting a cent of corporate PAC money, so our ability to fight back against this attack will be determined by grassroots supporters like you. >>
