NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration released a new report this week confirming that the past decade was the hottest ever on record.

The past five years collectively make up the five hottest years on record. It’s clear things are only going to get worse if we do not act.

But my opponent, Henry Cuellar, refuses to acknowledge the scale of this crisis and urgency this moment demands.

Instead, as this news came out, he was promoting his unending support for the oil and gas companies who have bankrolled his campaign. He did nothing to acknowledge the serious damage they’re doing to our planet.

Not only that, but he then went on to tout his vote in favor of Trump’s USMCA trade deal, which has no environmental protections at all. In fact, it doesn’t even mention climate change.

He is actively working against our community and the future of our planet. It’s time for him to go.
