Hi there Friend,

You’re probably wondering who I am and what I’m doing in your inbox. I’m
Erin (he/they) and I’m the new Story Bank Organizer for IPN and BBP. No,
that’s not my natural hair color, but I’m probably older than you think.
(Geriatric Millennials, represent!)

For most of my life, “home” has meant Oregon. And yes, all the rumors are
true. I’m a vegetarian, hybrid Subaru-driving, umbrella-averse, dog dad
who lets people cut in front of me in traffic. I’ve toured the Tillamook
Cheese Factory, visited the last Blockbuster on earth, and have been
voting by mail for more than 20 years. (Seriously, it’s not that big of a
deal.)

Enough about me (for now). As you know, the 2023 Legislative Session just
started. Here at IPN, we're committed to advocating for you and defending
our rights. But we can't do it alone. Your voice is one of the most
powerful tools in the fight for progress. Because if I've learned anything
from my career in journalism and community outreach, it's that we change
hearts and minds with our humanity -- not facts and figures.

Lend your voice to the growing chorus of Nevadans speaking out in defense
of democracy and sign up for the Story Bank today! Everyone deserves to be
heard by their community and the leaders who represent them. If you don't
share your story, who will?

In solidarity,

P.S. While you're watching tonight's State of the Union Address, pay
attention to what gets you fired up or feeling inspired and share your
thoughts! We'll be tweeting all about it.
