** Kaine’s Wife Claims Constitution, Declaration of Independence Were 'Fundamental in Enshrining Slavery'
------------------------------------------------------------

Anne Holton, wife of failed vice presidential candidate Tim Kaine ([link removed]) (D-VA), denounced the Declaration of Independence and Constitution as “fundamental in enshrining slavery,” according to Breitbart News ([link removed]) .
Holton made the comments ([link removed]) as Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s (R) new history standards were approved 5-3 by the Commonwealth’s Board of Education, upon which she sits.
“To an audience as inclusive as our Virginia is, you cannot reference the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution as ‘remarkable documents’ without also acknowledging that they [are] fundamental in enshrining slavery, and limiting the protections that they provided only to white property-owning men,” she said.
What disgusting anti-Americanism and historical stupidity. Those documents were actually fundamental in laying the groundwork to end slavery, but apparently that didn’t happen fast enough for Anne Holton.
Holton also served as Virginia’s Secretary of Education under former Gov. Terry McAuliffe ([link removed]) (D), who tanked his own campaign against Youngkin by making anti-parent remarks regarding the education of the Commonwealth’s children.
The history standards were written at least in part to correct disinformation and anti-America propaganda injected into the curriculum through the use of the divisive, racist Critical Race Theory ([link removed]) , because disinformation and anti-America propaganda are central to the Democrat agenda.

In a June 16, 2020 speech, Kaine claimed ([link removed]) that the United States “created” slavery and “didn’t inherit slavery from anybody”:
“The first African Americans sent into the English colonies came to Point Comfort in 1619. They were slaves, they had been captured against their will, but they landed in colonies that didn’t have slavery — there were no laws about slavery in the colonies at that time. The United States didn’t inherit slavery from anybody. We created it. It got created by the Virginia General Assembly and the legislatures of other states. It got created by the court systems in colonial America and since that enforced fugitive slave laws.
“We created it, and we created it and maintained it over centuries, and in my lifetime, we have finally stopped some of those practices, but we’ve never gone back to undo it. Stopping racist practices at year 350 of 400 years, but then taking no effort to dismantle them, is not the same as truly combating racism. But I’m mindful of the challenge laid down by our young people. No more politics as usual.”
