Women's History Month tours open for reservation at Governor's Mansion?
OLYMPIA ? The Governor?s Mansion Foundation is presenting Women's History Month tours at the Mansion on Wednesday, March 1 and Wednesday, March 8. The 45-minute tours are free and open to the public.
The tours will include information about the Mansion and will highlight Washington?s role in the ratification of the 19th?Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which empowered voting rights for most women nationally. Mansion docents will highlight the history with first person, costumed presentations. This program was originally created to celebrate the 2020 suffrage centennial, supported by a Votes for Women Centennial Grant through the Washington State Women?s Commission and the Washington State Historical Society.

Tour details
Adult tour guests must present photo identification and all visitors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Masks are not required. No umbrellas, strollers or food/drink will be allowed on the tour. The Mansion is accessible to wheelchairs and walkers. Visitors must walk a 200-yard incline up to the entrance.
The tours are hosted by the Governor?s Mansion Foundation docents. The circa-1908 Mansion is the oldest building on Olympia?s Capitol Campus. Visitors will get guided tours of the Mansion?s permanent collection of antique furnishings and Northwest artwork, including the renowned wall-size murals of Washington scenes in the state dining room.
