MAJORITY RULES POLL:
John: Do you still read the local news?
YES [[link removed]] NO [[link removed]]

If you aren’t reading the local news, you should be, and here's why:

In 2022, Long Island local news outlet The North Shore Leader reported on George Santos and broke the scandal of his pathological lies, before the November election. But, their groundbreaking reporting went mainly ignored. By the time major publications began picking up the story, Santos had already been elected – the irrevocable damage had been done.

[link removed] [[link removed]]John, this is why local news matters. Journalism has been a reliable vital source of news, for centuries, however, the GOP’s continuous attacks over “fake news” have pushed some of our publications – big and small – to the sidelines. We want to know, do you still read your local news? [[link removed]]

YES [[link removed]] NO [[link removed]]

The neglect of local news led to the election of a far-right pathological liar. John, we can’t let this happen again in 2024. Accurate reporting, from big and small publications, matters. We want to see if Democrats are reading, staying up to date with, and supporting their local news in 2023. Add your input by taking our survey below >> [[link removed]]

Do you read your local news?
LET US KNOW [[link removed]]

George Santos is far from the first scammer to be elected to local office, and likely won’t be the last. This is why here at The Majority Rules we are doing everything in our power to support local news and honest reporting going into the 2024 election. A Democratic majority starts with upholding a free press – are you in support of protecting a free Press and your local news? [[link removed]]

This year is going to be huge in the fight for fair elections! We have seen that voting rights and the integrity of our elections continue to be under attack. Some candidates and organizations have continued to use shady undemocratic tactics to suppress voters. It’s time to fight back! Established in December 2016, The Majority Rules is a coalition of concerned citizens like you. We use your donations to promote state and federal candidates and initiatives across the US to achieve fair elections. We are not aligned with any party or organization.
