Dear (Personalized),
Three years ago, we launched PeaceCast, Americans for Peace Now's podcast.
We launched it as the only podcast dedicated exclusively to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and efforts to resolve it. While the podcasting scene has exploded in the past three years – there are now more than 700,000 active podcasts worldwide – PeaceCast is still a unique service. No other podcast provides this kind of a thorough exposure to Israelis, Palestinians, and Americans who work to advance Israeli-Palestinian peace.
In the past three years, we have produced more than a hundred episodes. We hosted scholars, activists, artists, authors, comedians, musicians, storytellers, journalists, and filmmakers. Our most recent episode is a conversation with Omar Shakir, the Israel-Palestine director of Human Rights Watch. Among our other recent episodes are conversations with Avner Gvaryahu of Israel's Breaking the Silence organization, with Palestinian pollster Khalil Shikaki, with Jordan's former foreign minister and ambassador to the United States and Israel Marwan Muasher, and with Dina Kraft, a fellow podcaster and journalist.
As Americans for Peace Now's communications director, PeaceCast is an important component in my toolbox. It allows APN to reach young people (67% of podcast listeners are in the 18 - 44 age group), who are well educated (podcast listeners are 68% more likely to be post graduates than the overall population) well paid (podcast listeners are 45% more likely to have an annual income of over $250,000 than the overall population), and much more active on social media than the overall population. In other words, this tool allows us to address exactly the kind of demographic that we want to develop as APN supporters and activists.
Producing PeaceCast requires dedication and commitment. It's a labor of love. But it's also labor intensive. It takes a lot of time and effort to produce, edit, upload, and publicize a podcast episode.
We are committed to continue providing PeaceCast [ [link removed] ] as a service to you. But we can only do so with your support.
Please support PeaceCast [ [link removed] ]. Thank you for your generosity.
Ori Nir
APN Director of Communications

P.S. Tomorrow is Martin Luther King Jr. Day*, a day in which we honor his struggle and celebrate his accomplishments. One of my favorite MLK quotes, one that I like to apply to our struggle for Israeli-Palestinian peace is: "We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope."
