Team — We all know how the 2020 election ended: President Joe Biden won, and Donald Trump threw a tantrum, spreading his Big Lie that the election was somehow stolen from him. But truth be told, we didn’t realize how just how involved Trump’s team was in this dangerous scheme:

A recent audio recording revealed that the head of Trump’s campaign in Wisconsin knew full well he had lost this state but still directed staff to continue to “fan the flame” of Trump’s Big Lie and spread disinformation about Democrats trying to steal the election.

He told the campaign staff to do “whatever they needed” to promote these lies — and they did. After the election, dozens of lawsuits were filed in Wisconsin and other close-margin states, attempting to pressure election officials to overturn the will of the voters and keep Trump in office.

And it gets worse: In this audio recording, Trump’s team also mocked the Democratic efforts to engage Black voters. These are the same people who bragged about creating voter suppression tactics specifically targeting Black and Hispanic voters, leading to 37,000 fewer votes cast in Milwaukee in the 2022 election.

Trump and his allies are downright dangerous. And they’ve made it clear that they’ll do whatever it takes to win — including attacking our democracy and spreading lies to suppress the voices of the people of Wisconsin.

Team, with Trump on the Republican ballot, we need to be prepared for the lies and schemes his team will promote in Wisconsin to take down Democrats. We’ll need to build on our strategy to protect and defend our right to vote in the next two years, which is why we’re asking:
