Hi there,

On April 4, Wisconsin voters will have the chance to flip the Wisconsin Supreme Court to a progressive 4-3 majority—and we’re going all in to support this competitive race.

We need a progressive majority on the court to protect our rights and the integrity of future free and fair democratic elections. The state’s Supreme Court may soon decide on a wide range of issues with major implications for Wisconsinites and the entire country:

- Fair maps & representation: The Wisconsin GOP was able to pass some of the most egregiously gerrymandered legislative maps in the country, which were selected by the conservative court.
- Abortion access: A law from 1849 criminalizing abortion in the state went into effect after Roe was overturned. The law is currently being challenged by the state’s Democratic Attorney General.
- Protecting voting rights and combating GOP election subversion: A progressive court majority could thwart Wisconsin Republicans’ legislative efforts to subvert the will of the voters in this 2024 battleground.

[If you can, chip in to elect a progressive justice in this critical election. 100% of your donation supports the Democratic Party of Wisconsin.]([link removed])

While the election is technically non-partisan, the Democratic Party of Wisconsin will provide critical support to the progressive general election candidate, including delivering funds directly to the candidate’s campaign, overseeing a statewide field organizing operation, and working collaboratively with partners on press, mail, and digital communications. Your investment today can make all the difference in these on-the-ground efforts.

Your phone calls, letters, and door knocks in 2022 helped propel Gov. Tony Evers’ to reelection—a critical first step to protect voting rights in the state. But with the state Supreme Court gaining more power over state election administration in recent years, changing the balance of power on the court is crucial to ensuring future election integrity—including the state’s 2024 presidential election results.

Republican lawmakers are also becoming more aggressive in how they’re wielding power in the states they control. In 2022, the Wisconsin GOP’s extreme gerrymander made it more difficult for Democrats to win elections—even in counties where Democratic voters historically outnumber Republican voters.

In 2019, a conservative justice won his state supreme court election by about 6,000 votes. This year’s race is going to be just as competitive—and it’s absolutely winnable.

Which is exactly why we’re ramping up our efforts to [call voters]([link removed]), [knock on doors]([link removed]), [fundraise for WisDems]([link removed]), and, starting later this month, [write Vote Forward letters]([link removed]). The Wisconsin GOP won’t make it easy, but we can get this done together.

So whether you’re able to talk to a few voters or donate a few dollars, your involvement in this race can help safeguard human rights and election results in 2023, 2024, and beyond. We’re so proud to do this year-round work with you.

Let’s win this.
