ON THE ROAD WITH TONY...

The Clerk's Office has achieved many accomplishments and milestones in the last year. Further down in our newsletter you will find our 2022 stats. It still blows my mind on how many people we serve and the number of documents we process day in and day out.?

Here are a few pictures of some of my travels and activities in the County during the last
month:

By the Numbers in 2022

Election Department?--

During 2022, our department of four people:

  • Launched an innovative campaign finance electronic filing system.? 211 committees currently have eFiling accounts from ZERO a year ago. This program, one of the first in the state, is helping keep candidates in compliance and saves our department hours of tedious, repetitive work.
  • Our County Election department has led the state, training local clerks on hash validation techniques for election software. This process is one more level of security we have implemented to increase confidence in our election process.
  • Administered 3 Elections and 1 State-Level Recount
  • For the first time in our history, the Macomb County Clerk started a program recruiting over two hundred Election Inspectors.? Twenty seven of whom were hired by local clerks helping them to get a diversification of workers.
  • Conducted Nineteen Election Inspector training classes, including 12 emergency-use inspectors (they were available to step in at the last minute due to illness, etc.).

Vital Records Department --

Register of Deeds Department ??
