Oyate family,

Applications are open for our Beyond Rising Internship Program for undocumented high schoolers!

Last summer, 20 incredible young people participated in our paid internship program, gained career-readiness skills, built strong peer-to-peer networks, developed relationships with mentors and got to explore New York City and the surrounding areas – including a trip to Six Flags. We’re looking for our next group of leaders who want to learn and grow with us this summer.

If you know any undocumented high-school youth, aged 16-18, from the Bronx, Harlem or Washington Heights, we want to work with them! The program runs from July 6 - August 11, 2023 and includes:
* An internship placement in a Fordham University department
* A work schedule of Monday - Thursday from 10 AM - 4 PM
* A weekly stipend of $500 via Visa gift card
* Enrichment activities including trips, mentoring and more every Friday at the Oyate Group offices in the Bronx

Two Tracks for Participants to Choose From:

Research project track
This option exposes participants to contemporary issues in academic research (ranging from education to bio-medicine) and provides hands-on experience and mentorship
Professional development track
The option is a career exploration opportunity where participants will be placed at various on campus departments (e.g. dean’s office, athletic department, etc.)
