Over the past few weeks, Ted Cruz has been talking up his new bill limiting U.S. Senators to two terms, even as he actively plans to run for his third term. The man’s hypocrisy truly knows no bounds.

Make no mistake, Friend: taking steps to end political entrenchment is a noble goal. Just a few days ago, Texas Democratic State Senator Roland Gutierrez introduced a bill that would allow Texas to prevent its U.S. Senators from serving more than two terms -- forcing the Junior Senator from Texas to play by his own rules.

Friend, we need to show Ted that we won't stand for his hypocrisy. Will you sign our petition demanding that Ted Cruz not run for a third term?

We’re gearing up to take Ted on next November when he decides his own rules don’t apply to him. Whichever Democrat we nominate to run against him, we can’t wait to retire Ted Cruz from the U.S. Senate and finally allow him some time to relax at his preferred Cancun resort.

But in the meantime, we’ll continue the fight to defend the freedom of Texas families from his backwards policy proposals.
