National Prayer Breakfast | BILL FEDERER AT OCPAC Published Monday, February 6, 2023 WE ARE MEETING This Wednesday at NOON Central Oklahoma Home Builders MANDATE TO SPEAK BILL FEDERER THE PHASES OF THE AMERICAN CITIZEN BASE Nationally sought-after speaker, prolific writer, and best-selling author, William J Federer, is coming to this Wednesday’s OCPAC Foundation luncheon. His daily radio broadcast is heard nation-wide. His television appearances include FOX, CSPAN, Hannity, O’Reilly, NPR, NewsMax, OAN, Prager U, Eric Metaxas, and many more. Bill will be addressing the issue of political involvement. He will debunk the idea that we can maintain our own personal moral fiber while ignoring evil. Not speaking out about the wickedness in the society in which we live is a blight on our character. We will be given a guided tour through the guiding theological trends from the 17th century to the present. Trends which have defined the role of the American citizenry from our foundations to the present. The result will be the delivery of one of the most powerful challenges for political activism we have ever received. Table of Contents BOB LINN Be Not Silent OCPAC FOUNATION BOARD Directors and meetings  DEAN SHARP Links to presentation BOB LINN Be Not Silent Thank you for making it possible for Jane and me to travel with John O’Connor and the Oklahoma contingent to attend the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington D.C. last week . With more than 50 of Oklahoma’s conservative Christian patriots there, Jane and I were able to meet some fantastic people who want to see the hand of God at work in our Sooner state. We were also able to meet a number of the 1,600 in attendance from all over the world. In keeping with the unbroken tradition begun by President Dwight Eisenhauer, we were addressed by President Biden and other dignitaries, including the Queen of Jordan and members of Oklahoma’s congressional contingent. Jane and I enjoyed hearing from Josh Brecheen as he addressed the Oklahoma group giving his commitment to conservative principles. The picture below was taken of some of the Oklahoma contingent at a break-out session. Many new friendships were formed and it was a great time to get to know each other. In spite of the very Christian atmosphere in the National Prayer Breakfast, it is clear that Washington suffers from a profound loss of its Christian conscience. The city is populated by many who find it difficult to bring to light those issues which are eroding the security, the welfare, and the place of international prominence this nation once enjoyed. As retired General Jack Keane pointed out after China’s spy balloon, aka The Red Zeppelin, was finally shot down on the East coast, we had ample opportunity to shoot it down at various points while it travelled over the Pacific Ocean, passing the Aleutian Islands, and into U.S. airspace. Certainly, if nowhere else, Montana presented an excellent opportunity. It is, if nothing else, a one-entry parade over the U.S.A. to announce to the world that the Chinese Communist Party can now do anything it pleases. Our speaker this week comes at a timely point in the calendar. Nationally sought-after speaker and author, William J. Federer will address what ails us as a culture this Wednesday. Last week, Bill Federer paid tribute to the great American poet, Robert Frost. It was the 60th anniversary of his death on Sunday, January 29, 1963. Two years earlier, he spoke at the 1961 inauguration of President John Kennedy (JFK) and read his poem Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening ending in the famous lines: The woods are lovely, dark and deep. But I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep. In 1951, Robert Frost penned The Road Not Taken. The final lines are: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I – I took the one less traveled by; And that has made all the difference. America has never been so divided as to what our future path should be. If we are to continue to be the world's hope of political liberty, it will require bold action on our part. In December of 1952, The New Yorker magazine published the review of a Robert Frost television interview where he articulated one of his most famous quotes. With much conviction, Robert Frost said: Freedom lies in being bold. I am indebted to Garson O’Toole of Quote Investigator for confirming the quote is indeed Frost’s. I mention Robert Frost's Freedom lies in being bold quote because when Bill Federer speaks to us this Wednesday, he will address the Biblical foundation of boldly standing for the cause of truth and righteousness in the public sector. Insight into history, a sense of personal responsibility to society, and a grounding in Biblical thought produced depth of character in the lives of our founders. It was the depth of these ideological roots that enabled them to understand the importance of public affairs and gave them the boldness to sign their names to the Declaration of Independence from England’s long-running tyranny. Relying on the assurance that it was a divine plan which guided and undergirded them, they closed the Declaration with this bold pledge: And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor. We live in a day when the nation’s future is on the brink of collapse due to the slumber of the people of God. We are the very descendants of those who knew that they had received a divine commission. They had been tasked by divine providence to draft the architecture of a nation. It was a commission worth the sacrifice of their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor. They could all have been hung. Such was the strength and vision of Dietrich Bonhoeffer of whom it was said by the Schonberg Camp doctor, H. Fisher-Hullstrung, that he “climbed the steps to the gallows, brave and composed. His death ensued after a few seconds. In the almost fifty years that I worked as a doctor, I have hardly ever seen a man die so entirely submissive to the will of God.” This was the man who reminded us that “not to speak is to speak and not to act is to act.” Like many of those who signed their names to the Declaration of independence, Bonhoeffer paid with his life for the ground he sought to defend. He was willing to speak and he was willing to act. Once the American church develops the clarity of vision for her earthly calling and the backbone to match that vision, our place in history will more closely match that of our forefathers. On the phone with Bill Federer this weekend, he reminded me of the Biblical mandates which require that we speak up when we see evil afoot. Passages like Leviticus 5:1, Ephesians 5:11, and many in between. We are admonished the same way Mordecai admonishes Esther when he said, “If you keep silent at this time … you and your father’s house will perish.” (Esther 4:14.) Today, you and I are on a divine mission to restore the Biblical foundations of Western Civilization. It is a mission that will provide those who will follow us a ready platform on the stage of history. Our task is to assist our offspring to continue to obey the Lord’s command to disciple the nations, and pray that the will of God and the Kingdom of God would flourish on this earth. (The 6th and the 28th chapters of Matthew.) All this is what he promised to Abraham, his son, and his grandson in Genesis 12-50. This is, of course, a promise not just to three men, but to the entire church body represented in Abraham. (See Chapter four of Romans and Chapter three of Galatians.) That promise was secured 2,000 years before it was given to Abraham when, in Genesis 3:15, it was foretold by Christ that the seed of the woman would crush the skull of the evil one. I thank God for the many impassioned warriors for Christ he has raised up in our day. While we have much unattended work to attend to, our strength is given from above and we are fighting a winnable war. A few thousand of you read this newsletter each week. I would challenge you to connect with us through our meetings, or through communicating by email and begin the process of getting involved in bolstering the Christian cultural foundations of Oklahoma that we may cast a light on our nation, the last bastion of freedom in the world. Christianity is the very foundation of human thought. It is the foundation of free & prosperous societies. We are in desperate need of returning our nation and our state to Biblical foundations.
