John,
I understand more than most how investing in small businesses can uplift a community and provide opportunity for hardworking families to not just survive — but thrive.
I was a small business lender in North Philadelphia. I saw first hand how providing small businesses with the support they need can transform the lives of the small business owner and their families and the communities that business serves. And, I was a small business owner myself. Together, my wife and I opened a community-based, retail shoe store in Mt. Airy.
That’s why, today, I’m announcing my commitment to visit 100 different small businesses all around the City of Philadelphia.
I am going to be the champion for small businesses as Mayor, but I need your help in order to get there>>

Small, local businesses need the right local leadership to succeed. With a recovering economy, high inflation, and rising interest rates, Philadelphia needs a Mayor who gets it — and I do because I’ve been through it.
That said — no two small businesses are alike because what makes them special is that they are often family-owned and operated or community-based. The services change with the wants and needs of the neighborhood. It’s the part I enjoy most about all of it and why I’m getting out there to meet as many as I can in the next 100 days.
As your next Mayor, I promise to bring the experience and understanding local businesses need to succeed in every neighborhood across Philly. Donate $10 or any amount to my campaign today — I can’t do it without you!
I’ll see you out there!
