The State of the Union is a time to recognize the progress we’ve made in recent years:
Investments in our roads, bridges, and other infrastructure. Hundreds of thousands of jobs added and unemployment at a record 50-year low. Thousands of manufacturing jobs coming to Ohio. Lower prescription drug and energy costs.
The SOTU is also an opportunity to look ahead at the work that we still have ahead of us:
Reducing gun violence in our communities. Protecting essential programs for working Americans like Social Security and Medicare. Strengthening workers’ rights to join a union and bargain for better wages, benefits, and conditions.
We’re building historic progress and we’re not done yet. Sherrod wants to hear which issues you want President Biden to talk about in his State of the Union address.
