We’re never going to see any meaningful gun violence prevention legislation in this country until the NRA releases its chokehold on Republican politicians, John. 

Right now, the NRA and other special interest groups won’t allow any new gun violence prevention laws to even be considered — and they get away with it by funding Republicans’ campaign war chests. 

For too long, our country and our laws have been decided by the wealthy and the powerful — but that’s not the way it should be.

We need to get dark money out of politics, but more urgently, we need to elect more members of Congress who are not beholden to the NRA or other shady special interest groups who want to put profits over people.
