John,
Republicans have continued to show us who they really are and where their priorities lie — not with the American people, but with their ultra-rich donors at the expense of the rest of us.
Instead of working on behalf of the people who elected them, Republicans have chosen to continue amplifying so-called culture wars and pushing an extremist, anti-life, anti-freedom, and anti-American agenda that will hurt communities around the country. Why? The GOP has proven itself to be the party of no — with no real policies or solutions to some of the most pressing issues in our country at this critical moment.
On the other hand, our progressive movement is built on a commitment to advocating and legislating for working people and our communities. We need and deserve more leaders with big ideas, not flamethrowers. Will you chip in $3 or any amount today to fight back against the GOP's extremist agenda?
From refusing to address the epidemic of gun violence, seeking to criminalize abortion and reproductive rights, proposing holding the economy hostage to force cuts on Social Security and Medicare and much more, the GOP have shown themselves to be too extreme for Americans. Time and time again, voters have rejected this far-right brand of politics.
Meanwhile, in the past two years, our movement was able to pass the first gun safety legislation in a generation, cut prescription cuts, make the largest climate investments in history, and passed comprehensive infrastructure legislation.
Our work is far from over. With Republicans only controlling a small majority in the House, we will not be deterred in our fight for a better, brighter future for all.
Since being elected to Congress, I have pushed for progressive solutions to answer some of the most urgent issues facing our country today. Unlike the GOP, I will continue to push for a bold progressive agenda that works for everyone — but I can't do this work alone. Can you pitch in $3 or any amount to thwart the GOP's radical agenda?
In solidarity,
Pramila
