John, here are a few things you may not know about Senator Tim Kaine from Virginia. 

He first served as the Lieutenant Governor and subsequently Governor of Virginia between 2005-2010. After a brief time at the DNC, he ran for Senate and won in 2012. He recently announced his intentions to run for reelection in 2024 and this seat is absolutely MUST-WIN!

Senator Kaine has been a prominent supporter of campaign finance reform, as well as clean energy, and gun violence prevention. Several organizations, such as The National Organization for Women, The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, and NARAL, have praised and given high ratings (some as high as 100%) to the Senator.
