This week, the House passed my resolution condemning socialism with a vote of 328-86. With this vote, we now know how Members of Congress stand on this issue. Additionally, I am proud to inform you that I have been chosen to lead the Western Hemisphere Subcommittee on House Foreign Affairs. This week, my resolution denouncing the horrors and failures of socialism passed the House of Representatives with a vote of 328-86. Many residents in Miami know the reality of what socialism brings: misery, oppression, and exile. This week, Chairman Michael McCaul (R-TX) of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, named me the next Chairwoman of the Western Hemisphere Subcommittee for the 118th Congress! I am no stranger to the issues facing FL-27 with relation to our Hemisphere. I spent over 35 years delivering you the facts as they evolved.
