This week, the House passed my resolution condemning socialism with a vote of 328-86. With this vote, we now know how Members of Congress stand on this issue. Additionally, I am proud to inform you that I have been chosen to lead the Western Hemisphere Subcommittee on House Foreign Affairs. This week, my resolution denouncing the horrors and failures of socialism passed the House of Representatives with a vote of 328-86. Many residents in Miami know the reality of what socialism brings: misery, oppression, and exile. With this vote, the People's House made this clear to the rest of the world that this perverse political model will not stand in the USA. Read the full text of the resolution here! This week, Chairman Michael McCaul (R-TX) of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, named me the next Chairwoman of the Western Hemisphere Subcommittee for the 118th Congress! I am no stranger to the issues facing FL-27 with relation to our Hemisphere. I spent over 35 years delivering you the facts as they evolved.
