Andrew Stands Against Human Rights Abuses In Turkey
This week, Andrew met with former NBA player and human rights advocate Enes Kanter Freedom to discuss what Congress can do to address human rights abuses in Turkey, including possible sanctions against human rights abusers in the Turkish government. Freedom of speech, assembly, and expression are core America values and these are under attack in Turkey. The United States must lead the world in standing against human rights violations at home and abroad.

Andrew Attends Mastic Beach Installation of Officers Dinner
Yesterday, Andrew attended the Annual Installation of Officers Dinner hosted by the Mastic Beach Ambulance. Andrew provided Congressional Certificates of Recognition, including to outgoing chiefs Maria Landman and Mike Montauban and to Kathy Pfeil for 40 years of service. First responders are beacons of our community. Andrew is proud to stand behind them and thanks them for all they do.
Protecting Yourself and Your Organization From Cyber Crime
As you may know, Suffolk County is still reeling from the impact of the cyberattack perpetrated a few months ago. Government servers are not the only systems at risk for these types of crimes which is why Andrew, as Chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee's Subcommittee on Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Protection, wants you to know there are resources available to help you protect yourself. The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) offers many FREE resources for individuals, for small businesses, for schools, and more. CISA even has a specific team to provide cybersecurity and infrastructure security services to New York and our entire region. For more information, visit CISA.gov or contact our office.
KEEPING UP WITH CONGRESS
Andrew Denounces Socialism
Socialism has no place in the United States of America. It is antithetical to American values and the Founding Fathers’ belief in life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
That's why this week, Andrew and a bipartisan majority in the House of Representatives voted in favor of H. Con. Res. 9, a Resolution to denounce socialism in all its forms, and voice opposition to implementing socialist policies in the United States of America.
Andrew Votes To End COVID National Health Emergency
In President Joe Biden's own words from September 2022, "the pandemic is over." And yet the federal government is still operating as if it is not. That's why this week, Andrew voted in favor of H.R. 382, the Pandemic is Over Act, which would officially end the COVID-19 public health emergency and President Biden’s use of pandemic related emergency powers so that our country can move forward and return to normal operating procedure.
