When Mitch McConnell announced he’s coordinating with the White House counsel, it was as outrageous as a jury foreperson announcing they’re the defense attorneys. If history is any guide, Susan Collins will follow Mitch McConnell’s lead to deliver a political win for the president: an acquittal he can brag about on Twitter.
