For the past year, I have focused a great deal of my time on tackling the public health crisis here in our communities across the Granite State and the country due to PFAS contamination in our water. Water is fundamental to life, but in far too many communities, the water is making families sick.
Last week the House passed the PFAS Action Act which included a bipartisan amendment I wrote to demand that the Environmental Protection Agency take steps to address and prevent the further spread of PFAS and hold polluters accountable. My amendment also puts resources directly into the communities impacted by these dangerous chemicals to keep our families safe.
We know that the EPA, under the current administration, is run by an agent of the fossil fuel industry. That's why it's critical for Congress to step up our oversight to prevent lasting environmental damage and put our country back on the path of protection and conservation.
Now the PFAS Action Act is on its way to the Senate -- so I wanted to check in with you to see where you stand.
