Newsmax

I joined Newsmax to discuss how the Biden Administration is complicit in the humanitarian crisis at our southern border, which is enabling criminal cartels to illegally traffic migrants and fentanyl into our communities. We must stop this insanity! Lesko Reintroduces Legislation To Protect Title 42 To Address Drug Crisis

I reintroduced the Securing the Border for Public Health Act to allow for the implementation of Title 42 Public Health Authorities to stop the import of certain controlled substances including narcotics, opiates, opium derivatives, and fentanyl-related substances. I introduced this legislation in the 117th Congress.

The Biden Administration’s open border policies have fueled our nation’s deadly drug crisis by allowing dangerous, illicit drugs to flood across our borders. Under the Biden Administration, we have seen record amounts of drugs, including fentanyl, infiltrate our communities and take the lives of thousands of Americans. I am pleased to reintroduce this important legislation to allow the Secretary of Health and Human Services to utilize Title 42 to combat this growing public health crisis, and save the lives of Americans across our nation.

Lesko Reintroduces Resolution to Protect Social Security and Medicare

introduced a resolution to recognize Medicare and Social Security as an important benefit that must be protected for current enrollees and strengthened for the future.

I am proud to once again introduce this important resolution to protect Social Security and Medicare for our seniors. Protecting this essential benefit for seniors in Arizona and across our nation has always been one of my top priorities in Congress, and I will continue to work to strengthen these programs for future generations.

GET THE FACTS: Democrats' Spending Spree

It is no secret that Washington, D.C. has a spending problem, and since President Biden took office over two years ago, the spending has only gotten worse. For 100 years, the debt ceiling has acted as a check to our accumulating national debt. But now with the national debt sitting at over $31.5 TRILLION, America simply cannot keep spending money. Under President Biden, Democrats have increased federal spending by $10 trillion. Democrats spent $1.9 trillion through their so-called "American Rescue Plan," where less than 10% of those funds went to combatting COVID-19, $745 billion on the so-called "Inflation Reduction Act," that will not actually reduce inflation rates, and $625 billion on a so-called "Infrastructure" package. Each of these bills wastes precious taxpayer dollars on Democrats' far-left priorities. We are now also facing the fact that payments on our federal debt could exceed our total defense spending by 2025. Thankfully, House Republicans are ready to fight on this looming issue facing American taxpayers. We will not back down on this and will hold the Biden Administration accountable for maxing out our government's credit card at the expense of Americans and future generations. America has not defaulted on its debt, and we will not start now!

A constituent contacted our office after she mailed documents to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) office and the agency reported they had not received the documents. Our casework team contacted USCIS and sent mail shipping receipts along with corresponding tracking information. The information was located and received by USCIS.
