If you’ve ever opened one of these emails, you’ve probably noticed that a lot of them contain a suggested donation amount of a pretty unusual amount: $17.77.

That’s not by accident, folks. We ask you to give $17.77 because that’s our average online donation.

I couldn’t be more proud of that fact. It says A LOT about the power of this grassroots team.

So many politicians run for office on the power of their own checkbook, or of the billionaires and lobbyists they cozy up to. Not me. I run on the power of Amy from Butte and Steve from Billings chipping in $10 or $25 because they know I have their best interests at heart, and will fight for them and their interests in the United States Senate.

I’m fighting for you too, whether you’ve pitched in before or not. Either way, you’re a valued member of this team.

But if you can, I’m reaching out to see if you’d donate $17.77 today, in honor of this grassroots team, and all we’ve been able to accomplish together — just one donation at a time. [[link removed]]
