This is urgent. 

The House Education committee voted to advance Del. Greenhalgh’s transgender athlete ban (HB 1387) and Del. LaRock’s forced outing bill (HB 2432) to the House floor. These bills will receive critical votes in the days leading up to the February 7th crossover deadline.

It’s time to GET LOUD and OPPOSE HB 1387 and HB 2432. Here are 3 things you can do:

• Email your lawmaker and tell them to OPPOSE these anti-trans bills: https://bit.ly/nobadbills. 
• Text VA to 472-472 to call your delegate. After you send the text, you’ll receive a phone call that will provide further details and instructions on the message you can leave.
• Donate $10 to help support our 2023 Lobby Days which provides opportunities for Virginians to come to Richmond and have critical conversations with their lawmakers and staff every Monday until the end of session.

We acknowledge that these bills have moved quickly, which can be overwhelming and stressful for those who are directly impacted or have loved ones who are. Please keep checking in with yourself, and take breaks as you need. 

Transgender and nonbinary youth have ALWAYS existed in Virginia and we appreciate your dedication to protecting them.
