Team,
I was honored to receive the endorsement of the Council for a Livable World in the 2022 midterm election cycle, and I wanted to take a moment to tell you about their mission and critically important work.
The Council’s chief goal is to reduce and eventually eliminate the threat posed by nuclear weapons. In pursuit of that goal, the Council works to elect candidates who support their mission, and then continues to support those members in Congress. Their agenda includes pushing for diplomacy-first foreign policy, nuclear arms control and common-sense defense spending in order to create a more livable world.
The ongoing war in Ukraine has once again made the threat caused by nuclear weapons all too clear, which is why the Council is circulating a petition to President Biden calling for continued negotiations for arms control agreements in the future. Even when it seems difficult, continuing negotiations with other nuclear-armed states is essential to our shared future.
Would you add your name to the petition to show your support for continued efforts to increase arms control agreements and prevent a new nuclear arms race?

In addition to the petition, please consider joining the Council’s supporter list or making a financial contribution to their important work today.
