John, on Thursday we got an official ruling from the nonpartisan Government Accountability Office (the top federal watchdog) that Donald Trump violated the law by withholding aid to Ukraine in his corrupt scheme to influence the 2020 election.

The New York Times: G.A.O. Report Says Trump Administration Broke Law in Withholding Ukraine Aid

The dedicated professionals at the G.A.O. looked to the separation of powers in our government, concluding: “Faithful execution of the law does not permit the president to substitute his own policy priorities for those that Congress has enacted into law.”

And what was the response of Lee Zeldin, Trump's self-styled "warrior" when it comes to impeachment?

Lee Zeldin tweet: The “nonpartisan” GAO is run by someone confirmed to a 15 year term in 2010 under a Democrat President, Democrat controlled Senate and Democrat House.

Zeldin chose to smear a government watchdog, in blatant denial of the facts.

As a scientist and educator, I'm disturbed by the ease with which Zeldin attacks a group of experts whose job it is to fight corruption and apply the law.

When we hear from career civil servants -- whether it's on government ethics, science, financial data, or healthcare policy -- we should not disparage their motives. Instead, we must listen, to ensure that our laws are properly executed and that we craft the best policies for the American people.

My career has taught me to listen and work with everyone in order to find solutions. But it's clear that Zeldin is more interested in a career as one of the loudest voices of the Far Right.

If you're tired of Zeldin's extreme rhetoric and refusal to put the rule of law above partisan politics, I need your help. I need you to support my campaign to beat him and restore honest representation to Suffolk County.
