Hi friend,
We’re all focused on what will happen in this primary over the coming months, but I never lose sight of right now — and what we are working toward. Every day I work with passionate people who care so deeply about the future of our country, and I try not to take that for granted. I’m so proud to be on this team, and I hope you are too.
Today, as thousands take to the streets to join the Women’s Marches happening all over the country, I’m reminded more than ever that we have to keep this energy going. We have a long way to go to recognize full equality for women, especially for women of color, disabled women, and queer and trans women.
But we have to keep this fight up, because women’s rights are human rights, and human rights are women’s rights. We have to keep showing up for a more progressive, inclusive future — that’s why I’m proud to stand with Tom as we work towards full reproductive justice, pay equity, a healthier planet, an ethical immigration system, and accountability in our government.
Everyone on TeamTom supports each other no matter who we are, what we look like, where we’re from, our gender identity, or what religion we practice. We’re all here to make a positive change, and it’s what unites us that matters.
