Congressman Van Drew Named Vice Chairman of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee

This week, I was named Vice Chairman of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. I thank Chairman Graves for the appointment, and also thank Speaker McCarthy and Majority Leader Scalise for their confidence in me to deliver results for the American people.

I will continue delivering historic levels of federal infrastructure investments to South Jersey, fight to strengthen our supply chain, fight for America to return to being energy independent, and continue to reform the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to ensure that the United States is a leader in 21st century aviation. I will also lead investigations into the impacts offshore wind industrialization may have on our environment, maritime safety, and energy prosperity.

This week, House Judiciary held its first committee hearing on the southern border crisis. During my testimony, I called out the Biden administration's policies that have contributed to this ongoing crisis.

Congressman Van Drew Defends First Amendment on House Floor

This week, I spoke on the floor about the blatant censoring of conservative speech.

We cannot allow for the silencing of views. We must foster and encourage debate in this country. Everyone deserves a voice, and everyone deserves to be heard. And everyone deserves to exercise their First Amendment right without ANY interference from the government, as our founders intended.

Congressman Van Drew Speaks on the Importance of Childcare Development and Funding

This week, I had the opportunity to speak before the Council for a Strong America, an organization that is committed to investing in our nation's children.

With the growing expenses of childcare and the shortage of caretakers, American families are feeling the increased burden. That is why these funding programs are so incredibly important. They ensure that children are given every opportunity to succeed in life - no matter what path they choose.
