As you know, the biggest change in my life these days is being a dad to Lillian (she’s almost 1 if you can believe it!).

And as I looked around Congress, I realized there are actually very few parents to young kids voting on issues that absolutely affect all parents. Think: childcare, education, ending child hunger to name a few.

So, I decided it was time for us young dads to band together and create a caucus to advocate for families like ours. I’m happy to share that the Congressional Dads Caucus is officially born!

The goal is simple - we’re uniting as dads in Congress to advocate for legislation that supports working families with kids. I’m really excited about it.

The next two years under Kevin McCarthy are going to be tough. And I believe we not only have to fight back against extremist ideas, but we also have to present a positive message about what we as Democrats are fighting for.
