Greetings!

I wanted to take a moment to share with you a recap on what happened last week in Texas' 22nd District and the United States House of Representatives.
This Week in Washington
Rep. Troy E. Nehls Speaks at Judiciary Hearing on the Border Crisis
This week, I attended the first Judiciary Committee Hearing on the Border Crisis.

I questioned Judge Samaniego of El Paso on his statements that El Paso was not experiencing crime due to the influx of illegal aliens at the southern border. The Biden Administration has ignored this crisis for far too long. We must protect the American people first.

Rep. Troy E. Nehls Speaks at Transportation and Infrastructure Hearing on Supply Chain Issues
This week, I attended the first Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Hearing of the 118th Congress where we addressed the Biden Administration's supply chain failure.

I questioned Ian Jeffries of the Association of American Railroads and Roger Guenther of the Port of Houston. During the hearing I announced my recommitment to the bipartisan Trucker Bathroom Access Act.

Rep. Troy E. Nehls Speaks at Press Conference on the Impeachment of DHS Secretary Mayorkas
I joined Congressman Andy Biggs (R-AZ) and several of our colleagues to introduce articles of impeachment against DHS Secretary Mayorkas. With the worst border crisis in our nation’s history, we have never had a cabinet secretary refuse to do his job. It’s time for Congress to remove him from office.
Rep. Troy E. Nehls meets with the National Law Enforcement Memorial and National Trooper Coalition
I was happy to meet with Andrew Matthews, the Vice Chair of the National Law Enforcement Memorial here in Washington, D.C., and the National Troopers Coalition Executive Director.

I enjoyed showing him the End of Watch Wall outside of my office, which displays fallen law enforcement officers who lost their lives while serving their communities. One of my priorities in Congress is ensuring the safety of the American people and our law enforcement officers.
