BREAKING: White County Judge Halts Pritzker's Assault Weapons Ban, Cites Equal Protection Clause, in Another Blow to Pritzker ([link removed])

In another blow to Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker’s assault weapons ban, and following the directive of the Appellate Court, White County Judge T. Scott Webb on Thursday granted attorney Thomas DeVore’s motion for a temporary restraining order (TRO), halting the ban while the lawsuit proceeds.

The lawsuit raises the same claims as the one filed in Effingham County, where Judge Joshua Morrison granted the first TRO and names Gov. JB Pritzker, State Senate President Don Harmon, D, Illinois House Speaker Christopher Welch, D, and Attorney General Kwame Raoul, D, as defendants.

The lawsuit filed in White County by DeVore includes over 1,600 plaintiffs, including former Illinois State Senator and Republican nominee for governor Darren Bailey, who is the first named plaintiff; 68 federal firearms dealers and covers 92 counties.

BREAKING: Appellate Court Affirms DeVore's Equal Protection Argument, Assault Weapons Ban Temporary Restraining Order, Binds Courts Statewide ([link removed])
In a serious blow to Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker’s assault weapons ban, the 5th District Appellate Court affirmed on Tuesday Effingham County’s Temporary Restraining Order (TRO), and goes beyond the original 866 plaintiffs in the original lawsuit, and is now binding against all courts statewide.

The lawsuit is based on alleged violations of the Illinois Constitution. One alleged violation is the Equal Protection Clause, because the Assault Weapons Ban provides exemptions for certain groups – for instance, active and retired law enforcement are exempted from the ban, as well as active military and private security guards.

** Sources: Illinois Democrats Dominate House Chamber, Supermajority Forced to Occupy Seats on the Republican Side ([link removed])

Illinois House Democrats maintain a comfortable supermajority in the Illinois House of Representatives by a margin of 78-39, leaving Republicans voiceless and irrelevant on local and state matters. And to add insult to injury, multiple sources confirmed with Illinois Review that the Democrats have run out of desks in the House chamber, forcing many Democratic members to sit on the Republican side of the aisle. ** Click to read more. ** GOP's Epic Fail: Misunderstanding School Board Races ([link removed])

Beyond the catastrophic consequences related to hybrid and remote learning, the sexual education curriculum that teaches young children about gender identity, hormone blockers — subjects completely inappropriate for children, is also making its way into the classroom.

It’s not OK to read what’s in the curriculum live on air as a Chicago radio show host because it violates federal communications policies, but it’s perfectly OK to teach it to young children?

This logic is not only flawed — it’s wrong. If you can’t read this on radio airwaves, then why are you teaching this to children?

Teaching children about critical race theory has also found its way into the classroom — a divisive concept that teaches about race superiority and that the United States is fundamentally a racist country, among other things.

It is stoking the flames of racism, and dividing young children at such a young, impressionable age.

But while these battles wage at the local level, where is the Republican National Committee (RNC) or state Republican organizations on this issue? They are completely silent. ** Click to read more. ([link removed])
