We know the 2022 cycle was a tough one, but the results are already showing up.
As a member of our grassroots team, we wanted to give you an update on how your support of one of our candidates – Attorney General Kris Mayes – is already making a difference here in Arizona:
– Instead of focusing on lies and election conspiracies, we’re focusing on expanding voting rights. The previous Attorney General wasted time and resources on chasing large-scale “voter fraud” which never came to pass. Now, instead of going on wild goose chases, Attorney General Mayes is making sure this unit focuses on stopping threats against election officials, and making voting easier for Arizonans.
– Working on setting up a team to protect reproductive rights. While the previous Attorney General tried to get a restrictive, 1800s-era total abortion ban implemented, Mayes has refused to defend that law and is setting up a workgroup to make sure Arizonans’ reproductive rights – granted by the Arizona Constitution’s privacy clause – are protected.
– Stopped Arizona’s involvement in trying to stop federal student loan forgiveness. Rather than focus on hyper-partisan lawsuits against the federal government, Attorney General Mayes is focusing on putting the office to work for Arizonans.
