Bike and Pedestrian Plan Projects
In 2022, City leaders began work on a?*Bike and Pedestrian Plan*?intended to guide improvement projects and plans for the future, aimed at creating safer, more navigable roadways, sidewalks and paths. After gathering input from the community, the Council accepted a final Plan in November 2022.
*The City is working closely with Dakota Co. and the Minn. Department of Transportation (MnDOT) on the following projects, which will take place in 2023:*
* Add shared use trail along Victoria Curve from Hunter Ln. to Hwy. 13.
* Close sidewalk gap along South Plaza Dr.
* Pilot test crosswalk at Chippewa Ave. and Annapolis St./Hwy. 13.
* Add sidewalk segment and move crosswalk adjacent to Somerset Elem.

Established in 2022, the Mendota Heights*?Community Emergency Response Team*?(CERT) is a group of citizen volunteers who are trained in emergency preparedness for large-scale disaster incidents that may impact our community.?
