Within the next few weeks, Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) will reintroduce the American Opportunity Accounts Act, which would provide every child, at birth, with the economic resources needed to begin building long-term economic security and generational wealth. For more info on the bill, find our two-pager here.
The American Opportunity Accounts Act would not only ensure that all children— regardless of their family’s economic circumstances—have the resources they need to succeed when they become adults, but also would substantially close the racial wealth gap facing Black and Latinx families.
In advance of reintroducing the legislation, Senator Booker’s office is seeking organizational endorsements to accompany the formal bill announcement.
