As'salaamu alaykum,

This Black History Month, we are looking deeper into the lives and stories of a people who have continued to persevere. Through slavery, segregation, and police brutality, African Americans have faced a multitude of traumas, yet have emerged as many of today’s champions of justice. This history is a blueprint for a mission and vision that will establish human security for all. The MPAC African American Muslim Insight Council (AAMIC) honors the Men, Women, and Children who sacrificed their lives for the civil liberties we have today.

Over the last two years, we have been dedicated to listening and learning more about the interests and values of our Muslim communities so we can further understand the concerns of us all. That’s why we created the American Muslim Community Building Listening Survey, a collaborative effort with American Muslim organizations across the country. As we work to strengthen our collective efforts at community building, we ask that you take a moment and complete our new survey.

After completing the survey, please support this mission by sharing it with friends and family. The more responses we receive, the better we can advocate for our communities. With your help we can share our collective priorities and interests with leaders and stakeholders across the country.
