[1]Mark Kelly for Senate
Hey everybody — it’s Mark Kelly.
Wanted to link you to an interview I did this week about the Shuttle Columbia and its crew, and some of my thoughts 20 years on from that terrible day.
You can find it here: WBUR - Remembering Columbia Space Shuttle 20 years later with former astronaut and U.S. Sen. Mark Kelly.

On February 1, 2003, I woke up to a call from my brother Scott. He told me that we’d lost communications and tracking with STS-107, space shuttle Columbia.
We lost seven astronauts that day, and I knew each of them well. Laurel Clark, Dave Brown, and Willie McCool were classmates of mine — we came into the space program at the same time.
There are a lot of memories from that day and the days that followed. But more than anything, at this time of the year I’m just thinking about my friends.
Thanks for listening, and I hope you’ll take a look at the interview.
Mark
