As we step into 2023, all of us at WLT are looking towards another exciting year of work with our conservation partners to protect wildlife and habitats around the world. But first, we want to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support and celebrate everything that we achieved together over the past year.
Your generosity as WLT supporters never ceases to amaze us. Here’s just a few of the highlights that your donations funded in 2022:
- The direct protection of 60,878 hectares (150,433 acres) of land -
- The planting of 176,290 native trees -
- Support for 57 rangers across 13 countries -
But that wasn’t enough! You also came together to support two momentous appeals. First raising £350,000 to secure a key elephant corridor in India’s Garo Hills with Project Mongma Rama , then an incredible £1,430,000 for our Big Match Fortnight appeal, Life on the Edge.
With every tree planted, every hectare saved, and every new reserve established, WLT supporters like you are making a huge difference.

LIFE ON THE EDGE APPEAL REACHES
£1.43 MILLION TARGET
Thanks to your generous donations, our Life on the Edge appeal is now fully funded!
The £1.43 million you raised will help double the size of the Anzu and Zúñac reserves in Ecuador’s upper Río Pastaza watershed.
These unique foothill forests are home to a spectacular array of wildlife found nowhere else on Earth, and we can now hand them a vital lifeline for the future.
