Hey there! It’s Mallory. In a minute, I’m going to ask you to chip in $7 to the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee to elect state Democrats, and here’s why:

This time last year, Michigan Democrats were facing our most competitive legislative elections in nearly four decades. For the first time since 1984 (longer than I’ve been alive!) we had a real shot at taking back the Senate. And thanks to you and the DLCC’s targeted investment and support, we were able to do just that – winning a historic trifecta this past November.

But there’s no years off when it comes to electing state Democrats – this year Democrats have the opportunity to win both chambers in Virginia, which is crucial to sustaining Democratic momentum into 2023, 2024, and beyond.

So I’m asking you personally – can you chip in $7 or whatever you can afford to the DLCC today to help elect state Democrats and replicate our success in Michigan across the country?

I got my start in politics after the 2016 election, when I realized I needed to get involved for the future of my community. I didn’t know the first thing about running for office – I literally had to Google it. But with some help from the community around me, I ran, I knocked doors (my favorite part about campaigning), and we won.

And despite all that, in my first term, I introduced 49 bills… none of which got a hearing from my Republican colleagues.

It wasn’t an easy road to this trifecta, but I’m so proud that today, me and my fellow Democrats are creating a Michigan where everyone gets a chance to thrive.

This work is only possible when voters and grassroots supporters act – and you did just that in November. I’m determined to build on this historic midterm win with my colleagues and use our Democratic power for good.

It’s far from over, though – thousands of state legislative seats in Michigan and across the country will be up for grabs over the course of the next two years.
