Dear Neighbor,

In our community, taking care of one another is central to who we are. Whether it’s taking on the unpredictability of life, raising our kids, or making sure that our loves ones can age with dignity and respect, we always look out for one another.

Every American, regardless of income, race, gender identity, or where they come from, should be able to take care of their family and themselves without having to be afraid of losing their job. 

The first bill I’m introducing in the 118th Congress is the Job Protection Act, legislation to expand family and medical leave protections to cover millions more Americans.

This week I introduced this important legislation alongside fellow Paid Leave champions: 

The Job Protection Act is a promise that you won’t ever have to make the choice between keeping your job or taking care of yourself, an aging parent, or a new baby.
