This is really serious. The New York Times just reported that Exxon not only knew about the dangers of climate change, but accurately and clearly predicted that burning fossil fuels would certainly make our planet uninhabitable. 😡
Exxon and other similar fossil fuel companies knew their business was killing people.
They lied about it, poured money into deceiving the public, and let millions of people suffer and die so they could make more profits. Exxon executives and the people who buried the science and misled the public are mass murderers on a planetary scale.

Accountability is only the first step but we can’t stop there – we must move past Big Oil and their thirst for profit, and get them OUT of our politics. We have to move toward a future where every single person has the ability to live in dignity with the support of a Green New Deal, and we can’t do that with fossil fuel executives calling the shots.
Sunrise has the fossil fuel industry paying attention because they know our movement has the potential to stop them. The House Oversight Committee obtained internal documents from Big Oil a few months ago, and just take a look how Shell executives wished BEDBUGS on our movement while we were out organizing town halls for climate action in 2019:
The fossil fuel industry doesn't care if everyday people live or die. For them, it’s all about the money and they’ll stop at nothing to keep it flowing.
But we’re in the fight for our lives and if we’re going to take on this evil, outrageously rich industry, we’re going to need you with us.
