Monday, additional committee assignments continued to role in, with our women
snagging some great leadership roles!

Rep. Monica De La Cruz (TX-15) will be vice chair of the House Financial
Services’ Housing Subcommittee.

* Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA) will serve as Ranking Member of the Small
Business Committee.
*
Rep. Jen Kiggans (VA-02) will chair the Oversight and Investigations
Subcommittee under the House Committee on Veterans' Affairs.

* Rep. Laurel Lee (FL-15) will chair the Elections Subcommittee for the
Committee on House Administration.
*
Rep. Nancy Mace (SC-01) will chair Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and
Government Innovation Subcommittee under the House Oversight Committee

Tuesday, Freshman Rep. Lori Chavez De-Remer (OR-05) gave her first speech on
the House floor. She shared top issues facing Oregonians, including crime, drug

Wednesday, Rep. Jen Kiggans (VA-02) joined Speaker McCarthy at a special panel
in honor of National Women and Girls in Sports Day.

Thursday, Rep. Maria Salazar (FL-27) and Leader Steve Scalise passed their
resolution condemning the horrors of socialism. The daughter of Cuban exiles,
Maria knows firsthand the consequences of socialism.

Also Thursday, Freshman Senator Katie Boyd Britt (R-AL) - one of the Senate's
youngest members - celebrated her 41st Birthday. Happy Birthday, Senator Britt!
