Exciting news time!
2023 is an exciting year for Active Nottingham leisure centres as we embark on a £1.5 million investment project for our gyms!
Work will start in late winter/early spring with gym upgrades taking place at Clifton Leisure Centre and Harvey Hadden Leisure Centre initially.
We will give both gyms a make-over and create new colour-coded zones with state-of-the-art NEW gym equipment from Life Fitness. When we’re done, you will have a better, fresher and awesome space to work out and wind down in.
Keep up to date with our progress on our social media channels, but for now – here is a sneaky peek of the artist impression for Clifton and Harvey Hadden.

January’s Power Points results are in
In a big contrast to December’s results, we saw a 9% increase to energy use across all leisure centres in January and an extra 3 tonnes of CO2 than was expected, which could be down to the leisure centres being closed for a few days over the festive break. Did you spot any problems or opportunities to save energy? If so, be sure to tell a member of staff to earn your leisure centre extra points!
Staff from Victoria and Southglade leisure centres completed additional point scoring actions this month, making them the joint winners for January - woohoo!
Look out for ideas on how to save energy during your visit and together let’s see how much energy we can save in February!
Tip of the month:
Keep post work out showers to three minutes to save around 60% on energy per shower. Three minutes is roughly the length of one song - changing room karaoke anyone?!
